Position: OFY Board President
Stephen is currently employed as the Manager of Investor Relations for JoAnn Stores. He has been in the field of corporate finance for over 17 years. He and his wife, Diane, have been married for over 24 years and have two daughters
Kevin T Burns
Position: OFY Board Vice President
Kevin is an Associate in the office of Tucker, Ellis and West LLP and has been employed there for over six years. He specializes in Business Transactions & Securities and Employee Benefits and Tax Services. He is a graduate of The Ohio State University (B.A.); Cleveland-Marshall College of Law (J.D.); and Georgetown University Law Center (LL.M.). Kevin is single and lives in Independence, Ohio.
Position: OFY Board Secretary and Treasurer
Debbie is the Co-Founder and Manager of Finance at Options for Families and Youth since 1990. She and her husband, Mike, have been married since 1972 and have raised three daughters. They have seven grandchildren.
George Capellas (OFY Board Past President)
George has been in the insurance field since 1982, most recently employed at National Interstate Insurance Company. George was a member of the State Farm Insurance National Disaster Relief Team. He is a former Councilman of Ward 4 and Finance Committee Chairman for the City of Berea. George was also foreman on the Cuyahoga County Grand Jury. He and his wife, Connie, have been married since 1979 and have three daughters.
Is a registered nurse and Assistant Director of Ambulatory Nursing-Outpatient at the Cleveland Clinic where she has been employed since 1982. She is currently working on her Masters in Nursing. Dawn is married and has an 18 year old son and a 16 year old daughter.
Robert Gross (OFY Board past President)
Bob is Managing Member of Gross & Gross, LLC, a firm specializing in Labor and Employment Law. He is a past-president of the OFY Board and has been married to his wife, Gretchen, for 17 years and has three children.
Steven is currently the Director of Professional Development at The Cleveland Clinic where he has been consistently employed for the last 18 years. He has over 15 years of work experience in the field of medical education. He and his wife Bettina have been married for 12 years and have 5 children; two of which have been adopted through OFY.
Marie is a CPA and a Senior Manager for the accounting firm of Skoda Minotti, where she has served for more than 12 years and is part of the Tax Planning and Preparation Group. She spends a significant part of her time working on tax issues with corporate, partnership, individual, and nonprofit clients. She also has experience with an international accounting firm. Marie is married and has a son and daughter.
Nancy Lowery Bregar (OFY Board Past President)
Nancy was the Director of the Positive Education Program – Connections until her recent retirement in 2011 and has worked in the child welfare/mental health field since 1980. She and her husband, Mark, have been married for several years and have raised three children.
Chris is a retired Firefighter with the Brook Park Fire Department. He has also been a real estate agent for various firms from 1997 to the present. In addition, Chris has been involved in launching his own coffee roasting business called ‘Greater Bean’ with all proceeds being donated to worthy non-profit organizations. He and his wife, Joyce, have been married since 1979 and have four adult children.
Michael D Rush
Position: OFY Executive Director
Mike is the Co-Founder and has been Executive Director of Options for Families and Youth since 1989. He has served in the field of child welfare since 1973. He and his wife, Debbie, have been married since 1972 and have raised three daughters. They have seven grandchildren.
Chris is currently employed as the General Counsel for Corporate United, a Group Purchasing Organization. He is married to his wife Heather, and they have two children.
